So, I is r going back to teh skewl.
(Why?)
'Cause, well, I don't have a bachelor's, and I want one, and it will make me moar qualified for munnies. Yes.
(But you already have a degree. Two, almost.)
Yeah, that lady never called me back. Anyway, I don't have a BA, and Game Design is awesome!
(But what are you going to get with a Game Art Design BA? You already have an arty throwaway degree. And you're going to have to get another AAS in order to get into the BA program.)
Yes, well, but, ummm... BA?
(...)
Wait! No! I have an argument for this! You see, I've been slowly getting more and more antsy over the past few months, in the "wtf have I been doing with my life?" sorta way. And I thought to myself, okay, what job would I want to have? I don't want to be a graphic designer, and much as I wouldn't mind any old art job, what is it that I WANT to do? And the answer that comes up is this - character designer. That's all I do anyway. I like creating new characters and backgrounds and style ideas and new and interesting things. That's just what I do. All the time. So, that's what I want to do. But there's only two industries that I can think of that do such a thing - movies or game design. And since I don't think there's a BA in character design, it seems like I could get a job much easier in the game industry and thereby the movie industry. Right? Does this make sense to anyone else?
(It doesn't make sense in half my head to begin with.)
The problem of course is that the college I'd like to go to is in Seattle... of course. But, if I can get the degree I can go for the job? Or just make my own job? Right?
::Edit - there were confusions. Josh and I are both going to ITT in June. Tomorrow we go into the FA dept. and to talk to the deans to figure out where we stand in what::

I am planning on eventually getting a doctorate in something. Why? Because I want to.
I don't know what ITT has to offer for art. For my part, I'm at UMSL and working on my BFA in studio art. I imagine concept art and character design will rely far more on drawing and painting than on computer application (which you already know).
